A good group name will attract users, a good group description will convert them to members. Your description should be brief, relevant and clear, informing potential members who the group is aimed at, why they should join and what they can expect from the group in terms of events and building bonds.
To edit your group description:
1. From your group’s homepage, click Manage Group from the left menu
2. Enter your new group description
3. Save Changes
We will send a notification to group members of the updated group description. Alternatively, you can also announce it via the activity feed.
If you are making changes to a group description that significantly shifts away from the original focus of the group, make sure to inform your members the direction you are taking the group in as they might have joined the group based on the initial description. Alternatively, you should consider creating an entirely new group instead.
