MuslimConnect is committed to helping users protect their intellectual property rights. Our Terms of Service prohibit posting content that violates someone else’s intellectual property rights. If you believe your rights have been infringed, you may want to first contact the person who posted the content to resolve the issue without submitting a report. Otherwise we review and respond to valid notices of alleged copyright infringement, before removing or disabling access to content for users that infringes on the intellectual property rights of others.
If the alleged infringing party believes that the content shouldn’t have been removed, they may reach out to you directly to try to resolve the issue. Otherwise they can file a counter-notice for copyright claims; or send us an appeal with relevant materials, explaining their side of the situation, for trademark claims. Valid counter-notices will result in restoration of the allegedly infringing content.
For repeat infringers of intellectual property rights, we use a strike system. Each valid takedown notice counts as a strike against your account, while a valid counter-notice (or withdrawal of the report) will remove the associated strike. If MuslimConnect repeatedly receives takedown notice requests against your account, we will evaluate the nature of the reported content and the number of strikes and, in appropriate circumstances and in our discretion, terminate or disable your MuslimConnect account.
Note: MuslimConnect cannot provide you with legal advice. Please consult a lawyer for specific advice around your circumstances and rights.
