Organisers have control over how they run and operate their groups and they have the power to accept or deny membership requests and remove members at their own discretion. They might set certain criteria or rules for membership and participation, and are responsible for moderating the content on their Group and Event pages.
We encourage everyone to be open and welcoming, but some members might simply be a wrong fit for the group. If your group membership request has been denied, you can always join a different group or create and run your very own group! There might be others who are in the same boat looking for another group to join. Different options can be a great benefit to your community.
