MuslimConnect will automatically detect your location to tailor the groups on the homepage to your local area, so that it is relevant to you. If you’re looking for a new group to join, you can search either by Groups or Events. An event you are interested in might be hosted by a group that will also interest you.
1. Head to the Explore page
2. Enter a search term or browse by category by clicking in the search bar
3. Choose a location and the radius you want the search to cover
4. Click Search
5. From the search bar, toggle between Groups or Events to see the search results
6. You can filter your search by clicking on the ‘Sort by’ drop-down menu and selecting another option (Closest, Newest, Most Members)
If you cannot find a group that you are interested in, don’t worry, you can create your own group! It’s more than likely there are others out there who share your interests but are just waiting for a group to be created.
Suggested groups
We suggest groups we think you might like to join based on the interests that both you and the group may share. Only you can see the groups we suggest to you.
To discover new groups of interest:
1. Go to the Explore page
2. Select a location and radius, then click Search
3. Underneath the search bar, click on the All Groups drop-down menu
4. Select Suggested Groups
