If we remove content you posted because of an intellectual property report, and you believe that the content shouldn’t have been removed, you may want to reach out to the person who submitted the report to try resolve the issue directly. If the content was removed under the notice and counter-notice procedures of the United States Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), you may be able to file a DMCA counter-notification. If the content was removed based on U.S. trademark rights, you may be able to submit an appeal.
Please understand that reporting intellectual property infringement is a serious matter with potential legal consequences. You should consider seeking legal advice if you’re unsure whether the content you want to report actually infringes your intellectual property rights or falls under permissible fair use. Intentionally submitting misleading or otherwise fraudulent reports of copyright or trademark infringement may lead to liability for damages (including costs and lawyers’ fees) under section 512(f) of the United States Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) or similar laws in other countries.
You may send us a counter-notice to dispute the matter by emailing directly to support@muslimconnect.io., in English and including the following information:
1. Your contact information (name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address). Please note that we may provide your contact information to the party that reported the content.
2. A description of the allegedly infringing content and the specific location (URLs) where it appeared before removal
3. A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the content isn’t authorised by the owner, its agent, or the law.
4. A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of Federal District Court for the judicial district in which your address is located (or New York County, New York if your address is outside of the United States), and that you will accept service of process from the person who provided notification of infringement or an agent of such person.
5. Your physical or electronic signature.
Our team will forward your counter-notice to the person who originally reported the content, and they will have 14 days to notify us that they have filed legal action to keep the content down. If we don’t receive any such notification, we may restore the allegedly infringing content. If in the instance we are not able to restore content due to technical limitations, we’ll let you know that you may repost the content at your discretion.
